Pottery is one of the oldest crafts in Slovenia. It is connected to the pottery centers where the clay whereabouts were located (Ljubno in Gorenjska, Komenda, Ribniška dolina, Šentjernejsko polje, Cerknica, Dravsko in Ptujsko polje, Prekmurje). After the WW II the number of potters decreased. In recent times potters are mostly continuing the family tradition but also the number of new approaches in pottery is increasing.
